Sport & rugby
Rugby is where it all began. On the field, children learn discipline, teamwork and resilience, and many go on to compete at national and international level. Off the field, our players lead change in their own communities.
A non-profit from the streets of Delhi
We work with children and young people from underserved communities, using rugby, classrooms, cameras and community to build confidence that lasts well beyond the game.

Yellow Streets started with a simple belief: the children and young people growing up in Delhi's underserved neighbourhoods don't need to be fixed. They need a team, a safe space and people who show up.
We build on the skills and potential each child already has. Rugby teaches them to fall, get up and trust the person beside them. Study support keeps them in school. Art and film let them tell their own stories. Around all of it we work with families, especially women, so the whole community moves forward together.
Not charity. Belonging.
What we do
Rugby is where it all began. On the field, children learn discipline, teamwork and resilience, and many go on to compete at national and international level. Off the field, our players lead change in their own communities.
Regular teaching, notebooks and study material, and one-to-one mentoring that stays with children all the way to their exams. We want them to finish the school year, not just start it.
Filmmaking workshops led by professional filmmakers, and art workshops with partners like Art Reach. Our young people tell their own stories, in their own frame.
Training in stitching and tailoring, beauty and hairstyling, and cooking and catering. The focus is on real employability, with skilled trainers and paths to certification.
When times get hard, we show up with food relief, essentials and health drives. During the pandemic we reached around 5,000 families with food and safety supplies.
“Children and youth have the grit to excel.”
They just need someone to pass them the ball.
Moments we hold close
One of our young rugby players, who grew up under a flyover in South Delhi, travelled to the Rugby World Cup in Japan on a learning trip.
With partners like the Aumtara Foundation, we turned our network into a relief line for food, masks and safety materials, and later supported vaccination drives.
Our young girls' film group screened their films about My City, Delhi at the IAWRT 20th Annual Film Festival at the India International Centre, and was honoured by dignitaries there.
Art workshops at Triveni Kala Sangam, open conversations on community-first development, and new seasons of study, sport and skills at our centres.
Where we work
Our community centres are where it all comes together: study, practice, workshops, and a place to simply be a kid.
Classes, mentoring and community programmes.
Learning, skills training and family support.
